Voice Memos is a useful feature in your device which allows
you to record any sound and save it to playback later when you want. A user can
use it for many purposes like for idea capturing, education or learning. Suppose,
suddenly a brilliant idea comes in your mind, and you don’t have any pen or
paper, at that time you can use Voice Memos to save your idea.
Voice Memos is an excellent tool if you just need to make a
quick voice recording. Apart from recording, you can also use it as an audio
editor without significantly changing the interface. Your records even get synced
to iCloud so that you can access it from your any of your iOS devices.

How to
record a voice memo
1. Open ‘Voice
Memos’ application from your Dock.
2. Click on the
‘Record button’ (red round button) on the left bottom side of your screen.
3. Use ‘Pause
button’ to pause recording.
4. Click ‘Resume’
to resume your recording.
5. Click ‘Done’ to
finish recording.
How to
listen to a voice memo
1. Open ‘Voice
Memos’ application.
2. Click on the
voice memo, which you want to play. Voice Memos list is on the left side of
your screen. You can also search for a voice memo in the search box.
3. Click the ‘Play
button.’
Now, your recording starts playing.
How to share
a Voice Memo
Want to share your voice memo with your friend or family, or
save it to a second location.
1. Open ‘Voice
Memos’ application.
2. Click on the
voice memo, which you want to share. Voice Memos list is on the left side of
your screen. You can also search for a voice memo in the search box.
3. Click ‘Share
button.’ It is at the top-right corner of your screen.
4. Select the
sharing method and proceed.
How to trim
voice memo
You can edit your voice memo after you record a voice memo,
it is easy to replace a section, trim recording, or delete a part of it.
1. Open ‘Voice
Memos’ application.
2. Search &
click the voice memo; you want to edit.
3. Click on ‘Edit
button’ at the top-right corner of your screen.
4. Click the ‘Crop/Trim
button’ at the top-right corner of your screen.
5. Hold and drag
one of the ‘Trim slider’ and select the section to trim or delete.
6. Now, click
‘Trim’ to trim the recording down to that selection. Or click ‘Delete’ to
delete the highlighted section from your recording. Both buttons are at the
bottom-left corner of your screen
7. Click ‘Save.’
8. Click ‘Done.’
You can also rename, delete or manage voice memo preferences
by just doing a simple click on the memo title from the Voice Memos list.
