Instagram is a huge social media networking platform for sharing
media files like images, videos along with audio. The social network was
released in 2010 to use on IOS devices only, but later it was designed to be compatible
for other devices as well. The media file sharing service has seen a lot of
features added to it, and again, a new feature is added in the Instagram
recently.
The social networking service came as a platform where the chat
option was not available, but the users were able to share images and other
stuff. Later, it was acquired by Facebook, and soon new features started to get
added frequently. The Facebook-owned company, Instagram, then added the option
to have real-time on the chat box and later the networking service has added
another feature in it. Now, the users were able to see the last active of the
user accounts in their Instagram.
This time, Instagram is adding a notification feature in it which
can be enabled by accessing networking service through a web browser on your
handset or a computer system. While accessing the Instagram account from a web
browser, you will see a message has popped up with the option to turn on the
notifications for likes, followers and comments. The more exciting fact is that
the company has added the feature in its Instagram Lite version as well.
Instagram Lite app is a compact version of the Instagram app which will consume
lesser space in the device.
The Lite app indicates the lightweight which will work in the low
bandwidth or slow internet connection also. It is a prestigious step to take
towards the people belonging to the low or under bandwidth internet connection
area. Practically, there would be some slight differences between the Instagram
Lite app and the Instagram app which the main app user might not like. Still,
those with the low internet connection can have the privilege to take advantage
of Instagram and its features.
